August Wrap Up!

August really flew by. It was another busy month for me (it’s been a busy year for me, honestly). I’m reaching the end of the third show of the season at work, and will soon be shifting into the last one before I head to another theatre to finish out the rest of the year. In non-related book updates, I’ve gotten a lot of sewing done in August! I was able to make a dress, shorts, and pants, and I’m really happy with how they all turned out. I’m working on a Halloween dress now. Plus, August gave me some new Taylor Swift and I am OBSESSEDDDDD. ❤ Even with all my sewing and singing, I also got a fair amount of reading done!

I’ve still been an almost-all-reviews blog as of late, and since I’m reaching the end of my Reading Challenge, I’m gonna be shifting into more re-reads as the year goes on. Thank you to everyone that has stuck around while I try to overcome my first case of blog fatigue! I SWEAR I’m trying!!

In September, my goal is to focus a lot more on my bookstagram (I’m gonna attempt to do my first photo challenge month), and also engaging more with other blogs, since that’s one of my weak points when it comes to blogging. So I’ll be posting a lot more on Instagram than on here (though I will still post reviews of new books during the month). On here, I’m gonna try to devote more time every day to comment on other people’s posts and discover new blogs! I really want to get in the habit of doing that more and interacting with other book bloggers 🙂 I’m hoping this mini break will allow me to brainstorm new ideas that will carry me through the rest of the year and beyond!

Here are the books I read this month:

We Hunt the Flame ★★★★★ (favorite book of the month!)
Aphrodite Made Me Do It ★★★★
The Lost Hero (re-read) ★★★★
Below ★★★★★
Field Notes on Love
★★★★
Wilder Girls
★★
I’ll Be There For You ★★★
-The Son of Neptune (re-read) ★★★★★
Aru Shah & the Song of Death ★★★★

Some other blog posts from this month:

The Heroes of Olympus tag
Lover tag

What did you read this month? What are you goals for next month?

  1. I wish I was able to sew, sounds like you made some lovely pieces this past month. I know what helped me is I take 30 min. a day and just sit down and comment and read as many of the blogs as I can. I don’t go over because I can easily keep going, but for me it becomes too much and I miss out a lot of what is going on around me. I find that setting this amount of time aside I don’t feel like I am neglecting anything I should be doing. Have fun with instagram and I hope you have a wonderful reading month in September!
